It's official — Barbie is in theaters, and it's a massive hit. And in case you missed it, there are actual Barbies available for all of the main characters in the movie, which I just love to see.
All of this Barbie talk got me thinking about all of the celebrities who've had a Barbie doll in their likeness over the years. So, to celebrate the movie, here's a look at 19 examples of stars who were turned into real Mattel Barbie dolls side-by-side with the dolls:
1.Zendaya
"The doll looks exactly like my look," Zendaya told Vogue when the doll came out in 2015. "Literally down to my pinkie ring."
2.Gigi Hadid
“I’m so honored to have my own Barbie, which celebrates an iconic moment in my partnership with Tommy Hilfiger,” Gigi said in a statement in 2017. “Seeing the final look of the doll was an amazing experience, and I’m excited to share this really cool creation with fans around the world.”
3.Naomi Osaka
"I really hope every child is reminded that they can be and do anything," Naomi wrote on Instagram in 2021. "This is really seeing a dream of mine come to life, having your own Barbie and potentially seeing little kids playing with it."
4.Prince William and Princess Kate
The doll hit shelves in 2012 after their royal wedding captured the attention of the world in April 2011.
5.Queen Elizabeth II
The platinum jubilee doll was meant to represent 70 years of service for Queen Elizabeth II, and it was released on her 96th birthday in 2022.
6.Beyoncé
Back in 2005, Mattel made their first Beyoncé doll as part of a full Destiny's Child set.
7.Destiny's Child

8.Ava DuVernay
Ava's Barbie doll quickly sold out — all proceeds from the sales went to Witness and Color of Change charities.
9.Eva Chen
"I can't believe I have a doll in my likeness," Eva posted on Instagram when the doll came out in 2015.
10.Kristin Chenoweth
The official description of Kristin's doll, part of the "Shero" collection in 2015 alongside Eva and Ava, was: "An inspiration on Broadway and beyond, the Emmy and Tony Award nominee and winner also founded the Kristin Chenoweth Art & Education Fund volunteering with young talent in the arts."
11.Emmy Rossum
Emmy Rossum also rounded out the Shero collection from 2015.
12.Abby Wambach
“You guys may not believe this, but I was a Barbie kid, like for real. I’m not just saying that,” Abby said in 2016 when her doll was unveiled. “I think this is a really impactful statement… It just proves that we really are getting somewhere. Not everybody is created equal, and if you’re out there and maybe your doll doesn’t look exactly like you feel, here’s another option.”

14.Tina Turner
Mattel recently released this special edition Tina Turner doll as part of their signature music series in October 2022 — just months before her death in May 2023.
15.Yara Shahidi
"There's so many things about it that are just so Yara, from the ‘Vote’ T-shirt to my hair — we actually have the same baby hairs today — to the makeup and eyebrows," Yara told Harper's Bazaar when the doll came out in 2016. "To see something that accurately portrays who I am is very cool."
16.Ashley Graham
“If I had a Barbie that was my size, I would have thought my size was normal," Ashley said in 2016 at the Glamour Women of the Year summit where her doll was released. Laverne's doll, which was released in 2022, was the first-ever transgender Barbie doll. "It’s been a dream for years to work with Barbie to create my own doll,” she said in a statement at the time. “I can’t wait for fans to find my doll on shelves and have the opportunity to add a Barbie doll modeled after a transgender person to their collection. I hope that people can look at this Barbie and dream big like I have in my career."
18.Gloria Estefan
“I’m honored to be partnering with Barbie to create a doll in my likeness, especially as I ring in my 65th birthday and right ahead of Hispanic Heritage Month,” Gloria told Billboard in a statement in 2022. “When designing my Barbie with the team, I wanted to ensure I was staying true to my multicultural roots — and I believe we did just that.”
19.Cher
Cher's iconic doll was designed by Bob Mackie in 2007.
