Plane crashes are extremely rare in today's day and age. Additionally, with planes getting safer and safer as the years go on, it is getting increasingly common for passengers to survive plane crashes.

Famous actress Sandra Bullock was traveling from Texas to Wyoming when her private jet was involved in a plane crash. The aircraft was in the process of landing when the jet missed its landing spot and slid into a snowbank. The reasoning for this was that the crew was unable to activate the runway landing lights and could not see properly. Bullock and the flight crew were unharmed during the crash and were able to walk away from the plane.
