Dozens of musicians flew to the Dallas area in mid-May 2023 for the American Country Music Awards in Frisco hosted by Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, which made for some high-profile celebrity sightings at North Texas restaurants.

Country singers Jon Pardi, Ashley McBryde, Jordan Davis, and T.J. and John Osborne of the Brothers Osborne stopped into Sushi Marquee. The restaurant was a short distance from the ACM awards ceremony at The Star in Frisco. A publicist shared that their order included Wagyu spring rolls, jalapeño poppers and avocado bombs — quartered avocados topped with raw tuna, crab, spicy aioli and eel sauce.

All five country singers were up for ACM awards. The Brothers Osborne took home Duo of the Year.

Separately, DIY expert Martha Stewart also visited the Dallas area in mid-May 2023. Stewart dined at soufflé restaurant Rise with Claudia Lieto-McKenna, a Martha Stewart Living staffer. Rise owner Hedda Gioia Dowd reports that Stewart’s lunch at her restaurant was a lovely surprise.
