The website Vulture, part of New York Magazine, published a feature titled "The Year of the Nepo Baby," in which readers voted for their favorite nepotism case of the year. Celebrities mentioned include Jaden Smith, Zoe Kravitz, Sofia Coppola, Lily Collins and Drew Barrymore, among others.
And of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear. The first, for being the son of the late Princess Diana and the current King of England, Charles III, and the second for being his wife and for having made her way, supposedly, thanks to the support of her father Thomas Markle.

A term that has not gone down well with celebrities
The problem with the term 'nepo baby' is that it discredits the effort that various children of celebrities have made to be in the place they are now, as it implies that they are there because they are the children of who they are, rather than because of their ability and talent.

In Harry's case, social media has already dubbed him the 'King of the Nepo babies', and Vulture claims that despite the fact that he renounced his royal duties, "he remains very, very wealthy and privileged", but sarcastically adds that his constant criticism of his family "helps fuel our society's slow march towards the socialist utopia promised to us by Star Trek".
