At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s no question that attractions are the focus. From the over-the-top details of Galaxy’s Edge to the thrills of Tower of Terror to kid-friendly Toy Story Land, there’s something to see and do here no matter your age. Fortunately, the fun doesn’t stop there. Thanks to some incredibly immersive dining options, Hollywood Studios restaurants are as much of an attraction as the park’s actual rides.
Overall, Hollywood Studios has a pretty balanced mix of quick service restaurants, table service restaurants, character dining, food and drink stands, and a handful of lounges. Here are some things to consider as you read through this guide on Hollywood Studios dining:
- Quick service restaurants are casual with walk-up or mobile ordering and indoor and/or outdoor seating. Here, you pick up your food once your order is ready. A sizeable menu is provided, with options typically being less expensive than what you would find at a table service restaurant.
- Most table service restaurants are still casual (this is a theme park, after all), with many offering either an intricately themed and immersive experience, an elevated menu and atmosphere, or a little bit of both. The type of seating depends on the restaurant – some have only indoor seating, while others will have both indoor and outdoor dining available. Unlike at quick service restaurants, here you place your order with a cast member and have your meal delivered to your table. Meal prices also vary dramatically.
- Disney character dining experiences are meals with Disney characters held at table service restaurants. Usually, the characters will move from table to table signing autographs and taking photos throughout the meal. It’s a very fun way see characters without having to wait in line for a meet-and-greet. Instead, for character dining, characters typically come to you. As a result, meals here tend to be more expensive than regular table serving dining. Unfortunately, as a result of the pandemic, character dining has been suspended or greatly reduced. Hopefully, these interactions will return to normal as COVID-19 recedes.
- Snack & drink stands offer very few items on their menus and no or little-to-no seating. Aside from snacks like popcorn and pretzels, these can also be good places to buy specialty or seasonal snacks like limited-time funnel cakes or character-inspired treats.
- Lounges are either attached to a restaurant or in a standalone space with seating. A few snacks may be offered, but the focus is definitely on the drinks. With four different lounges, the most at any park, you’ll never need to look very hard or long for alcohol in Hollywood Studios.
- You can expect almost every restaurant to have at least a few plant-based or allergy/gluten-free options. To see what options you can enjoy before getting to the restaurant, just open the restaurant’s menu on the Disney World app and scroll to the bottom. And be sure to let a cast member know that you have a dietary restriction before or when ordering.

Not only does the setting make you feel completely transported, but the food, with themed names like Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip, tastes as good as it looks. This is a hit whether you’re traveling with a group of Star Wars fans or a family with young kids.
Best Disney Character Dining – Hollywood & Vine
Ok, ok – this next award is kind of cheating, as Hollywood & Vine is the only character dining available at Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Brown Derby sits where Hollywood Boulevard meets the Animation Courtyard. Based on the restaurant of the same name which once played a leading role in the golden age of Hollywood, this signature restaurant takes its style cues from its Los Angeles counterpart, with a similar Spanish Mission exterior and celebrity caricatures lining the walls. The menu options are just as classy as the original’s, with stars like Our Famous Cobb Salad, said to have been created at LA’s Brown Derby, and the refreshing Grapefruit Cake.
The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge | Lounge
Looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Studios and still be in the thick of it all? Swing by The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge. With its shaded outdoor seating and a drink menu inspired by old Hollywood, it’s the perfect spot to people watch and sip on classic cocktails like the Hollywood Manhattan and the Floridian Collins. Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company | Snack & Drink Stand
Joffrey’s is a mainstay throughout Disney World, offering up tons of hot, iced, and frozen coffee beverages and tea. Pastries are usually available as well, and kiosks will often feature seasonal drinks for a limited time. This is just a kiosk, so expect lines to get long and move slowly. Joffrey’s stands can be found near Tower of Terror and in Pixar Place.
KRNR The Rock Station | Snack & Drink Stand
Rockin’ and rollin’ is hard work, so walk this way to the KRNR The Rock Station. This snack and drink kiosk near Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith pumps out greatest hits like Chips, Chocolate-Chip Cookies, Floats, and even Frozen Coca-Cola spiked with the liquor of your choice.
Rosie’s All-American Café | Quick Service Restaurant
Inspired by Rosie the Riveter, Rosie’s All-American Café is another quick service restaurant in the Sunset Ranch Market area. This hard-working menu is stocked with classic American favorites the whole family will love like the chili-cheese All-Beef Foot-long Hot Dog, Rosie’s All American Salad with mojo pulled pork and tons of other tasty toppings, and the surprising Plant-based Lobster Roll.
Pixar Place Restaurants

Although you can grab basic snacks like Nacho-Cheese Tortilla Chips and Plain Potato Chips at this small snack stand opposite Walt Disney Presents, this is also one of the spots where you can buy one of our favorite Hollywood Studios snacks: the warm, crunchy, gooey Num Num Cookie. Wash it all down with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic Frozen Pina Colada.
Neighborhood Bakery | Snack & Drink Stand
With a number of Incredibles-inspired items on the menu like the Frozone Slush and Secret Identity, Municiberg’s Neighborhood Bakery is the ancestral home of Jack-Jack’s famous Num Num Cookies. These gloriously thick chocolate chip cookies are served warm, and are an absolute must for sweets lovers visiting Hollywood Studios.
Toy Story Land Restaurants
Woody’s Lunch Box | Quick Service Restaurant
Get in touch with your inner child at Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land. As you might expect, this quick service restaurant is positively filled with family-friendly meal options. Kids and kids-at-heart alike will love comforting dishes like a BBQ Brisket Melt, Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich with tomato-basil soup, or “Totchos” drowned in chili and cheese. Plant-based options are also available including Plant-based Totchos and a Plant–based Toasted Cheddar Sandwich. And be sure to save room for a Lunch Box Tart, Disney’s take on the classic Pop Tart, for dessert.

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo | Quick Service Restaurant
Fuel up for your journey to Black Spire Outpost at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, a family-friendly quick service restaurant. The menu is filled with local delicacies, though none like you’ve ever seen before. Or have you? For adults, we recommend the Batuaan Beef Pot Roast or the plant-based Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread, while little ones will enjoy one of the special Youngling Meals. There are also some fun boozy and booze-free drinks here like the Surly Sarlacc (grapefruit and rose vodka mixed with limeade, raspberry, and spicy mango) and Moof Juice (fruit punch, orange, pineapple, and a hint of chipotle).
Kat Saka’s Kettle | Snack & Drink Stand
Need to grab some snacks for your road trip across the galaxy? Swing by Kat Saka’s Kettle for the little-bit-sweet, little-bit-spicy Outpost Popcorn Mix. You can also find some Bottled Orb Soda here (AKA the same Thermal Detonator Coke Bottles that were temporarily banned by TSA for looking too much like a replica explosive).
Milk Stand | Snack & Drink Stand
For anyone who’s ever watched Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, blue milk has always been a bit of a tempting mystery. Just what does it taste like? Well, wonder no more. While the original comes from a bantha, Disney’s version is plant-based and frozen. Made with coconut and rice milks, Blue Milk is more fruity, while the Green Milk tastes like the tropics with a hit of sunshine-y citrus. And for those of you wondering, yes, they are also available with alcohol.
Oga’s Cantina | Lounge
Also from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, the Mos Eisley Cantina has had more than a few Star Wars fans dreaming of mingling with some of the galaxy’s riffraff with a stiff drink in hand. And although the guests at Oga’s Cantina aren’t as rough and tumble as the those from the movie, the drinks – such as the Fuzzy Tauntaun or Jedi Mind Trick – and atmosphere remain. And while this is definitely a bar, with fun non-alcoholic concoctions like the sugar cookie-topped Blue Bantha or the Carbon Freeze, you won’t have to worry about the kids feeling left out. This is a hot ticket spot, so make reservations or else plan on waiting awhile.
Ronto Roasters | Quick Service Restaurant
Portability is the name of the game at the quick service Ronto Roasters. Although seating is available here, much of the menu is perfect for those on the go, thanks to handheld options like the Ronto Wrap (roasted pork and pork sausage on pita bread with slaw and peppercorn sauce) and Ronto Morning Wrap (eggs and sausage in pita bread with cheddar and peppercorn sauce).
Grand Avenue Restaurants
BaseLine Tap House | Lounge
As you’ve probably already figured out, there is no shortage of places to get alcohol in Hollywood Studios, including BaseLine Tap House in the Grand Avenue area. Featuring an array of wine and beer from California, a selection of small plates, and a relaxed neighborhood pub vibe, this lounge is a great place to unwind for a bit. We recommend snagging a spot outside after the sun has gone down along with a glass of something and some of the Coffee-rubbed Rib-Eye Beef Puffs.
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano | Table Service Restaurant
When dining at Disney World, some of our favorite restaurants are those that combine clever theming with family-friendly eats. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is one of those restaurants. Tucked away in a corner of Grand Avenue, getting here is half the fun. The other half is the wall-to-wall details, making the whole place feel a bit like a mom & pop place in NYC’s Little Italy crossed with a Hollywood backlot restaurant. The menu here is quite reminiscent of Olive Garden, and we don’t mean that in a bad way. Go for the Charred Strip Steak, Shrimp Campanelle, or plant-based Polenta Cake with Mushrooms and Herb Cauliflower.
PizzeRizzo | Quick Service Restaurant
Those looking for a family-friendly quick service restaurant in Hollywood Studios need look no further than PizzeRizzo. Kids will like the plentiful pizza and pasta options, vegetarians will enjoy the Spicy Italian “Sausage” Sub, and adults will appreciate the subtly tongue-in-cheek Muppets theming (and the alcohol, of course). Even better is the bunch of air-conditioned seating that is available here.
Commissary Lane Restaurants
ABC Commissary | Quick Service Restaurant
Inspired by the commissaries found on studio lots, the quick service ABC Commissary serves up light entrees like the Curry Rice Bowl with Shrimp, Shrimp Tacos, Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and the plant-based California Burger. With TVs airing ABC reruns and blissfully air-conditioned seating, this is a wonderful spot to cool down and recharge for kids and adults alike.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant | Table Service Restaurant
There’s no question that Disney World is known as much for its immersive dining options as it is for its attractions, and Hollywood Studios is no exception. With its drive-in movie-style seating and cheesy sci-fi movie clips playing on repeat, the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant takes the concept of dinner and a show to a whole other level. Food options are as classic and comforting as the old school setting and include Fried Dill Pickles, a Drive-in BBQ Burger, Warm Glazed Doughnuts, and the House-made Sci-Fi Candy Bar. There’s even a plant-based Cookie Shake available for all the vegetarians and vegans out there.
Echo Lake Restaurants
50’s Prime Time Café | Table Service Restaurant
Feel like you’ve stepped back in time at the 50’s Prime Time Café. Made to look like a positively retro kitchen and dining room on a massive scale, the 50s Prime Time Café is yet another thoroughly immersive table service restaurant. Comfort food favorites like Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken and Mom’s Old-fashioned Pot Roast are the highlight here, as are the servers playing your aunt, cousin, or some other relative. That’s right, this meal comes with a side of good-natured chiding. So, be sure to finish your vegetables and keep your elbows off the table or else they’ll be no dessert. If we you can’t tell, part of the fun of 50’s Prime Time Café is playing along, so shove your dignity to the side and just enjoy it. As much as adults will enjoy the blast from the past, don’t be surprised if your kids like seeing their parents reprimanded even more.
Backlot Express | Quick Service Restaurant
Located next to Star Tours, Backlot Express is a quick service restaurant set in what appears to be an old prop room. Serving up American favorites like sandwiches, burgers, and salads, there’s something here for everyone. Try the Backlot Burger or the Cuban Sandwich, and be sure to save a bit of time to explore the fun theming. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available.
Dockside Diner | Quick Service Restaurant
Typically only open when crowds are at their heaviest, the quick service Dockside Diner is a great place to grab a bite to eat in the Echo Lake area. Expect pretty standard theme park food here like Foot-Long Chili-Cheese Hot Dogs and Seasonal Milkshakes. Movie buffs will especially appreciate Dockside Diner for its classic film Easter eggs (Hint: Look at the cargo next to the boat).
Epic Eats | Snack & Drink Stand
In need of a sugar rush? Swing by Epic Eats outside Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular for Funnel Cakes, Soft-Serve Ice Cream, and Root Beer Floats. Whether you’re looking for a snack for the show or simply needing some energy to carry you through the rest of the day, Epic Eats has you covered.
Hollywood & Vine | Disney Character Dining
The only Disney character dining experience in all of Hollywood Studios, Hollywood & Vine offers an array of American cuisine which is currently served family-style, although food was previously served by buffet prior to COVID-19. For breakfast, guests can meet their favorite Disney Junior characters all while enjoying items like Hazelnut Spread-stuffed French Toast. For lunch and dinner, Minnie and her pals take over while elevated dishes like Beef Tenderloin, Pork Osso Bucco, and Seared Fresh Salmon with Grain Mustard Beurre Blanc are served.
Tune-In Lounge | Lounge
Attached to the 50’s Prime Time Café, the retro vibe continues over at the Tune-In Lounge. Here, guests can sip on specialty cocktails, wine, or beer all while taking in some classic 50s TV. And bonus, you can even enjoy the full menu from 50’s Prime Time Café here. You know what that means? Peanut Butter & Jelly Milk Shake time!
Allergy & Gluten-Free Options in Hollywood Studios
Disney does a lot of things well. One of those things, much to the rejoicing of those with food allergies everywhere, is accommodating dining restrictions. Depending on where you choose to eat, those accommodations can look quite different. At a buffet, you might receive a tour of the buffet line from a chef pointing out what you are able to eat, while other chefs may even create something off-the-menu just for you. In general, most restaurants will provide separate fryers for gluten-free foods, as well as provide a variety of accommodations, whether that’s through ingredient substitution or omission.
This is true for restaurants across Hollywood Studios. All you need to do is inform a cast member of your allergy either prior to or when placing your order, and they’ll be happy to help. Before you arrive, we highly suggest you spend some time researching the various menus. You can easily do this on the Disney World app – just open a restaurant’s menu and scroll to the bottom This will help you plan out want to eat, saving you valuable time and plenty of stress once you’re in the park.
