Today is Mother’s Day and your Instagram feed has likely turned into an endless scroll of special tributes to mom. Celebrities, too, have taken part in this virtual tribute, uploading their own virtual homages to their loved ones. (As we continue social distancing, it’s one of the few ways we can celebrate our moms, as many families are not spending it together.)
One of the first to post this morning was mom-to-be Gigi Hadid, who posted a tribute to her mother, Yolanda Hadid. “Happy Mother’s Day to the one I’ll do my best to emulate,” she wrote. “I love you beyond words @yolanda.hadid you are a superhero!!!!!” Zoë Kravitz also highlighted her mom, Lisa Bonet, this morning with a throwback photo of her wearing a floral headpiece. “mama. my everything,” she wrote.
A few fashion designers have also shared their own special posts about mom. Burberry’s Riccardo Tisci shared a photo with his mom, Elmerinda, writing, “To Mother Nature, to the real warriors , to the single mothers who are fathers too, to my sisters ,to my one and only love, you are the real heroines.”
