The "Just Like a Pill" singer recalled that she had taken a dangerous mix of drugs, including "ecstasy, angel dust, crystal, all kinds of things." This drug cocktail had a catastrophic effect, and Pink revealed, "Then I was out. Done. Too much."

This is not the first time Pink has discussed her overdose. In 2012, she shared her experience with Entertainment Weekly, clarifying that her overdose wasn't severe enough to require hospitalization.

At the time, Pink admitted that she had been a "hardcore partyer" between the ages of 12 and 15, and the overdose incident prompted her to swear off drugs entirely, declaring, "Once I make up my mind, I'm done."

Pink's overdose in hindsight

Looking back on that period in her life, the singer candidly spoke about the struggles she faced.

I was a punk. I had a mouth. I had a chip on my shoulder.

"Basically, I grew up in a house where every day my parents were screaming at each other, throwing things. They hated each other," she admitted.

Pink also revealed that during that time, she had become involved in selling drugs, marking a dark phase in her life.

Weeks after her overdose, Pink signed with LaFace Records, initially as part of the girl group Choice. However, the group had a short-lived existence, and Pink embarked on her successful solo career in 2000.

Her toughness helped Pink to overcame her past

Reflecting on her journey, Pink credited her resilience, which she humorously referred to as the "metaphorical machete" she carried around as a child, for her success in the music industry.

The celebrity emphasized that she didn't secure a record deal because she was cute; rather, her fiery spirit, her voice, and her powerful message were what set her apart.

Alecia Beth Moore, Pink's real name, has not only overcome her challenging past but has also become an inspiration to many.

The songstress, who shares two children with her husband, Carey Hart, has not only found her voice in the music industry but has also used her experiences to inspire and uplift her fans worldwide.
