Since breaking off her relationship with Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez has focused solely and exclusively on her career.
However, she does want to find someone in the future to share her life with and, in a sincere interview, she confessed the problems men have in understanding her criteria and the usual confusion that people of the other sex suffer.
Currently, the artist is single and has just released 'Single Soon', her latest hit.
In the promotion of the song, Selena Gomez visited SiriusXM Hits 1 LA radio station and chatted with Tony Fly and Symon.
In the track, the singer talks about those requirements and she was asked about it in her interview.
"I think I have certain quality criteria and that I live in a world right now where men often confuse those criteria with being hard to please," explained the actress.
In fact, she referred to a particular verse in which she talks about it.
"The verse was very funny because I'm not ashamed to say 'I'm asking you X, Y and Z if you want to be with me", she says.
What Selena Gomez wants from a man
In short, Selena Gomez reveals that the only thing she asks from a man is that he be "cool".
"Not cool in the sense that people think you're cool, but only that you're someone nice, and as you're asking, please make me laugh," she continued.
"And also of course be nice to my family and the people around you.
"Everyone goes through the phase of 'Oh, it would be nice to have someone,' and I can understand that, but right now I'm simply enjoying how I am and I just want to be happy with who I am.
"So every time that person comes into my life, they bring something to me instead of being that insecure person that I usually used to be."
