Halle Berry has expressed her disappointment with Drake after he used an image of her getting slimed at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards for the cover of his new single, "Slime You Out," featuring SZA. The image was used without Berry's permission, prompting her to post a message on Instagram saying: "Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy ... even if you're a woman!" When asked by a follower what she thought of the use of the image, Berry replied: "Didn't get my permission. That's not cool I thought better of him!" She followed up with another comment: "When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!"

Drake and SZA had teased the collaboration on their respective Instagram accounts on Wednesday, before releasing the single on Friday. The rapper announced the release during his Austin, Texas, tour stop on Monday, saying that he wanted to drop a single sooner rather than later because he knows his fans are excited about his upcoming album, For All the Dogs, which is set to release on October 6.

Meanwhile, SZA also released an acoustic version of her hit song "Snooze," featuring Justin Bieber, who recently starred in the music video for the original version of the song.

Fans support the Oscar-winner actress

Fans expressed their support for the Academy Award-winning actress in the comments section, including one user who wrote that Berry is an "international treasure" and that Drake's use of her face for his promotional material wasn't "cool." However, others said Berry's own social media post was an overreaction since she has gushed over his use of her face in the past.

"In 2019, Drake famously wore a leather jacket featuring an airbrushed depiction of Berry's James Bond character, Jinx Johnson, from her film "Die Another Day." At the time, Berry reciprocated the love on her own Instagram feed, wearing a shirt with the words "Here for a good time not a long time" printed on the front. "Wayy up I feel blessed," she added in the caption, which were both references to Drake and Big Sean's song "Blessings," reported Page Six.

Drake's newest drama-stirring single is a part of his upcoming album, and although the "God's Plan" artist, 36, used Berry's face for his single, his forthcoming album art features a drawing created by his 5-year-old son, Adonis.
