The Princess of Wales posted a rare video of herself to Instagram—and it included a bunch of cameos of some familiar faces.
As she continues to roll out her Shaping Us campaign, which aims to increase public awareness on the significance of a child's first five years of life, Prince Kate shared a clip on the Instagram account for the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
In it, Kate speaks to the camera about the ways in which early childhood can affect future development. "We often don't realize it, but many aspects of our lives today have their roots in early childhood," she says.
The video then flashes to various British celebrities who have previously been known to support the princess's advocacy in early childhood development. These figures include Giovanna Fletcher, an author who once hosted Kate on her podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, and Zara McDermott, a former Love Island contestant who has since gone on to present BBC documentaries about eating disorders and rape culture.
Others include broadcaster Fearne Cotton, musician Jax Jones, former rugby player Ugo Monye, professional footballer Leah Williamson, and English rapper Stephen Manderson.
The princess launched Shaping Us earlier this week. The campaign is another milestone in her longtime work in the realm of early childhood.
"The way we develop, through our experiences, relationships, and surroundings during our early childhood, fundamentally shapes our whole lives. It affects everything from our ability to form relationships and thrive at work, to our mental and physical well-being as adults and the way we parent our own children," the royal said in a press release statement. "These are the most preventative years. By focusing our collective time, energy, and resources to build a supportive, nurturing world around the youngest members of our society and those caring for them, we can make a huge difference to the health and happiness of generations to come."
