Where is I'm A Celebrity 2020 filmed?

I'm A Celebrity 2020 is set in Gwrych castle this year, which is in Abergele, North Wales.

The celebrity reality TV show is usually set in the jungle in Australia, but thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and widespread travel restrictions, it was impossible for the show to be filmed Down Under this year.

As a result, a new location for the show was found in the UK that would allow the show to go ahead despite lockdown and other pandemic restrictions.

Gwrych Castle is an old historic building set in the Welsh countryside and while the new location will still feature recognisable elements of the Aussie camp – a camp fire, camping cots for the contestants to sleep on and the big red phone box amongst other things – the new location will also see the 2020 celebrity line up battle elements (hi cold winter weather in Wales!) that former campmates on the show never had to.

The new filming location for I'm A Celebrity 2020 also means that this year the celebrities will be competing to be named the first ever King or Queen of the castle – as opposed to King or Queen of the Jungle.

When is the I'm A Celebrity 2020 final?

I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here is running for three weeks this year and the I'm A Celebrity 2020 final will air on Friday 4 December on ITV.

The finale show starts at 9pm (GMT) and is scheduled to run for just over 90 minutes.
