Celebrities blasted the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office after it reportedly declined to file felony charges against Dave Chappelle’s attacker.

The comedian was tackled on stage Tuesday night during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl. Security guards chased and overpowered the attacker, and Chappelle was able to continue his performance while the man was taken away in an ambulance.

The district attorney dismissed the case, referring it to the city attorney’s office for four misdemeanor charges, according to CNN.

Here’s how celebrities reacted.

50 Cent:

Rapper 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, took to Instagram to share his frustrations about the attacker not getting charged: “Oh s***, is the LGBTQ gonna kill dave right in front of us?” he wrote. “He had a weapon a gun, knife how he or she don’t get charged? The world is over, F*** this.”

Joe Rogan:

Podcaster Joe Rogan also sounded off about the lesser charges brought against the attacker:

“When you see that a person commits a clear crime, and does it to one of the most loved performers alive, and does it in a very high profile public setting, and it gets captured on video, and you don’t charge that person for what they obviously did, it’s the kind of thing that makes people lose faith in law enforcement,” he wrote. “That’s never good.”

Heather McDonald:

McDonald, a comedian, also shared her outrage about the lesser charges with TMZ.

“Unlike, Dave Chappelle, I travel alone and do not have private security or 10 strapping male friends hanging out backstage when I perform.,” she said.

Comedy club owners:

Comedy club owners also have reacted to the news of the lesser charges.

“This is shocking to hear,” New York comedy club owner Dani Zoldan told Fox News Digital on Thursday. “The individual that attacked Dave Chappelle did so with a knife. It was planned in advance. I’m curious what they would consider felony conduct. People should be held accountable for their actions. Not charging this person appropriately sends a message that it’s OK to physically harm someone. It’s really outrageous.”
