Top 5 Internet Trends 2021 from Celebrities

For most people, life without the internet means nothing. They work online, spend time chatting with friends, and shop everything from the comfort of their homes. The interesting thing is that celebrities also have a love for the internet, and they enjoy their time interacting with fans and doing all sorts of other interesting things. In fact, for some, perusing the internet is much more than a chore and they invest a lot of time in finding new friends and following known personalities. Even in 2021, celebrities have been very active on the internet, and here are the top 5 trends they set this year.

  • Spending Time on Dating Sites

One of the biggest internet trends of 2021 for celebrities is to join online dating sites. Try any tender singles site with high-profile members, and you are likely to find some celebrities, often hanging out with fake usernames. Identifying them could be hard, but being on a reputable dating site can make it easier to meet someone you may have already seen in mainstream media.

So many celebrities have confirmed that they have found love through the internet. Nick Jonas spoke to Priyanka Chopra over the internet, and Sophie Turner met Joe Jonas online. Other couples who connected through the internet include Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith, Dua Lipa and Anwar Hadid, Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams, and the list goes on.

Even when they meet through Hollywood events, many celebrity couples have strengthened their relationships through the internet. But, if you talk specifically about celebrities who might want to date an ordinary guy, you need to keep looking for them on dating sites. Many celebrities have admitted that they like being on dating sites and you never know when you might bump into one for a wild ride.

  • Instagram Is All the Rage

Being active on Instagram is yet another Internet trend of 2021 from top celebrities. Instagram continues to be among the internet’s most influential app. There are celebrities with huge fan followings, and they keep sharing nice content for the most loyal fans. A deep dive through your favorite celebrity’s feeds can reveal a lot about their personal lives. For instance, Kendall Jenner, who is famous for modeling, and a bit of tequila making, has well over 156 million followers.

Like YouTube, Justin Bieber is active on Instagram and has 168 million followers. Beyonce has 170 million followers and, though her Instagram feed does not share much about her personal life, her followers are growing by the day. Kim Kardashian has an amazingly large fan following with over 211 million followers. If you want to know about your favorite celebrity, you can need to be on Instagram because chances are your beloved celebrity is already out there.

  • Making YouTube Channels

While many celebrities have become famous because of their YouTube content, the new trend is to join the YouTube bandwagon after being famous. Justin Bieber is a good example of someone who became famous off YouTube. You can find his various Vlogs, behind-the-scene footage from different music videos, and fan interaction on his YouTube channel.

However, many supermodels and celebrities follow the trend and create their YouTube channels. Former Victoria’s Secret Angel, Karlie Kloss, is now on YouTube and posts videos featuring recipes, food guides, and travel. Other good celebrities with YouTube channels include Ryan Reynolds, Selena Gomez, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Durant, Maisie Williams, Gordon James Ramsey, and Dylan O’Brien, to name a few.

  • Twitter is Still Going Strong

While there is a trend for most celebrities to switch to Instagram, they are in no mood to say goodbye to Twitter. Having Instagram followers seems to satisfy celebs’ fragile egos, but they continue to be on Twitter to keep their fans updated with the latest news.

Twitter provides a way to connect with fans directly, and that is why celebrities are sticking to Twitter, and more have joined the league in 2021. Popular celebrities understand the fact that they just cannot afford to have a weak social media presence in today’s technologically dominated world, so the trend of moving on to Twitter is getting strong.

  • FaceTime Is Hot

Celebrities’ love for FaceTime is becoming stronger after COVID and Demi Lovato’s star-studded group with over 30 celebrities; similarly, Ellen DeGeneres FaceTimed friends, including Justin Timberlake, Courtney Cox, and Tiffany Hadish. It has been quite some time since we were all locked down to prevent the spread of the virus, but it seems that celebrities are not going to leave FaceTime, just like they kept using it throughout 2021.

During COVID and lockdown, people tried all sorts of ways to keep them busy, and celebrities also managed to find creative ways to keep their hopes for a better tomorrow alive. So many of them turned to online dating sites to find love and spend some quality time with like-minded people. With dating sites becoming the latest trend, anyone can be a celebrity with hundreds of people showing interest. Be sure to make the right choice!
